Microsoft Cloud and Hybrid Programs Delivery for Azure and Office 365

Professional Profile
Enterprise Architect specializing in Unified Collaboration and Information Management solutions with proven track record of aligning business information strategy and programs with ECM cloud and hybrid technology platforms. Accomplished in building effective capabilities and competences for Enterprise Information/Knowledge Programs with focus areas in document and records management, collaboration portals and social communities. Specialized IM Competencies include information architecture, taxonomy and classification strategies (folksonomy, hierarchical lists, auto classification, and text analytics), lifecycle management and content harmonization/cohesion. Enterprise Business Process Management including CRM, customer and case management workflows. Enterprise Architecture for hybrid on premise, SaaS and private cloud ECM platform architect.

I have specialized in Microsoft stack for over 20 years starting with database applications using SQL Server and development IDE’s such as Visual Basic/Visual C++/Visual Studio. As part of my SharePoint journey, I was a programmer/analyst for document management workflows leading me to enterprise content management platforms such as iManage, IBM FileNet, Documentum and ultimately SharePoint.

As the Documentum Java Developer and Product Lead for integration with Moss SharePoint, I configured the 2 ECM platforms to transfer content from SharePoint to Documentum, and as it was new in the organization to architect and create a compliant, records management solution for a worldwide organization with over 125 geo-distributed office. As a core group of 10 individuals I was part of the North American Central Farm, planning and designing the sql databases, database disaster recover solution for production and was also a core critical member of the main farm’s development, test, UAT, pre-production and production systems. I also was the configuration manager for the 3 other regional farms, EMEA (Emerging Markets), APAC (Asia Pacific) and Europe.

After successfully buildout and designing and implementing the enterprise solution I become part of a 2-person SharePoint Architecture group with my role transitioning to the platform application space. I advised on other application solutions for the platform. As we worked with the SharePoint Product Team in the SharePoint 2010 TAP (Technology Adoption Program) I was able to collaborate with records management features and our team was able to influence how records management was incorporated into SharePoint 2010 with in place records management features.

The opportunity to work with Microsoft in their Legal Department in Redmond, Washington was offered to me as they were impressed with our SharePoint application portfolio. With a core group of 3, the Program Director, a SharePoint PMO and I created and configured/developed a solution portfolio that grew to over 300+ SharePoint 2010 applications. This program required that I design and plan the migration from MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2010 for the 4,000+ Legal Group. Analysis, design, development, and implementation for the initial applications were my direct tasks for the first major solutions. Over the course of 18 months, we grew the team to over 25+.

AARP recruited me to be part of the transformation to an Enterprise Architecture Group and I was responsible for Enterprise Content Management, Collaboration and Knowledge Management. I developed the roadmap for the major platforms to create capabilities for the 3 pillars, using SharePoint and Yammer. The transition to current state to future state was designed by me and I was part of the upgrade and feature deployment for AARP enterprise capabilities. As part of the annual project portfolio planning and execution I was the architect, solution designer, and technical subject matter for platform and enterprise budget for each solution. I returned back to AARP Services, Inc. the for profit group and consulted and developed for them to upgrade their existing non-SharePoint applications to SharePoint 2010 and then migration to SharePoint Online.

Microsoft recruited me back for the migration to the Office 365 and I was responsible for architecture, solution design and developer for the enterprise content solution using SharePoint Online and also other Microsoft platforms such as Dynamics CRM and billing software. While there I designed and developed the first prototype of the legal services document management solution in Azure, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online. I developed the protype apps that would be distributed across the Microsoft cloud services.

Development tools included Visual Studio .net, InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, SSRS/SQL, and PowerShell. The modern pages and features in SharePoint Online has require I develop in Power App/Forms, Power Automate, Power BI (Dashboards) for the several years. I have developed over 10+ solutions using those tools.

From infrastructure buildout with VM Ware, Virtual Desktops and PowerShell, I utilized PowerShell to build out the SharePoint 2013 farms for a recurring group of new developers. Also as part of the Enterprise Infrastructure Group I was responsible for deploying automated SharePoint configurations for all environments to enable automated DevOps approach. As automation became primary object at organizations, I further created business process requirements gathering using Excel/Visio integration for capturing requirements for business process validation and visualization. Using Microsoft authoring tools, I created business scenarios, use cases and integrated into TFS – Team Foundation Server to use as a configuration management tool and validate requirements and user testing. I also used it as a part of the enterprise PowerShell foundation scripts with configurations file properties for each of the different environments.

For each new program, I have been the technical team lead and technical project manager using a variety of tools such as MS Project, SharePoint List, TFS, Excel for various development approaches including waterfall, agile, agile/scrum implementations for all phases, initiation, planning, design, execution, validation and release. I managed all milestones and delivery and manage the risk and issue logs and advised PMO managers with updates and project schedule.

I am proficient on estimates for feature development, development hours and dependencies on integration points with other solutions/applications, infrastructure required for SharePoint development. The overview of my past work experience will help you decide if I would be a good fit for your organization. Thank you again in advance for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
